Complete Disregard of Public Opinion
Theresa May is not going to cut the 0.7% Foreign Aid Budget, even though Jacob Rees Mogg has presented her with a petition of 100,000 signaturesShe is well aware of the Oxfam Scandal and all the other frauds committed but says:
'It is absolutely crucial that we continue our support through aid for those who are most vulnerable. They also deserve to be treated by the same high standards we would expect to be treated ourselves'
Well Theresa, tell that to destitute people living on the Streets and old people dying of Hypothermia every Winter because they can't afford to heat their homes, as well as all th unemployed who now go to Food Banks.
They say :Charity Begins at Home' Not in the UK!

AzureSorry but you are totally wrong saying " 'It is absolutely crucial that we continue our support through aid for those who are most vulnerable. "
All the time we give help and aid their governments won't bother. We should stop ALL foreign aid and let these countries sort out their own problems.
The money that goes on overseas aid could be better spent looking after our own who need it

I'm slowly falling out of good cheer for our elected government...not that the opposition is any better.I think politics at a very local level is more interesting as you can actually see good work being done by representatives who get their heads together.
