Galileo satellite system installation moving from UK to Spain thanks to Brexit, EU an

Is this likely to cause further job losses? It isnīt in my field of experience to know anything about this, but Iīm sure some people will think it important, probably anyway.

Well it will give the Spanish something to do instead of having an afternoon
siesta. They may even be able to pay us back any loans we gave them

I was just thinking if they have to go anywhere better that Spain has a boost than many other countries.

Hi

It is the back up system clumsy, only 30 jobs involved.

The bigger issue is are we going to keep it or are we going to walk away?

It is a European Project, part of the European Space Agency, it will be fully on line next year.

We have funded about 8% of the costs.

It is subject to the ECJ for dispute resolution, one of our Red Lines.

Hi

As part of Brexit, we will be getting back any loans we have made through the European Bank, in the same way that we will pay the loans we have had back.

Thank you for a polite and sensible answer. As I said, I know nothing about these things and I simply wondered if it was going lead to many people losing their jobs.

No doubt I should have expected the usual xenophobic unpleasantness.

Oh dear things are really getting bad when you can't mention anything about people in another country and how they spend some of their time.

I suppose saying Eskimos spend some time fishing is wrong as well

I wonder if there could be a knock on effect to the manufacture of the satellites. Stevenage is at the forefront of that.

Hi

Just to add fuel to the fire, the UK has contracted the supply and operation of our Military satellites to EADS, a French Company, which is now part of Airbus.

We sold our stake in Airbus.

Purwell is correct about Stevenage.
