My answer is to get ready and I know full well that our government has been dragging its feet.
Trade under WTO rules if necessary.
At the end of the day, we decide what we buy and offer to sell what others want. We have always managed to do this in the past.
I still maintain that after they have finished their blustering, the EU countries (individually if necessary) will eventually decide that it is in their interest to deal with us on mutually beneficial terms.
"Yes, we'll sell you our cars, wine, cheese, etc. at favourable rates, but no, we won't pay a similar rate for your services."
"OK, no thanks, we'll buy cars from Japan, wine from the colonies and cheese we can make ourselves. The rest of the world will make use of our services."
How strange that suddenly, now we are leaving the EU, lots of people are assuring us that we will fail.
That does annoy me.
Hi
We have set our Red Lines.
No Single Market, no Customs Union ,no ECJ.
That was our decision.
That is what we voted for.
The result of that is a Free Trade Deal, nothing more.
The EU is offering a Free Trade Deal,no Tariffs on Goods and Agricultural Products.
eses for Medicinees
Services are out of it,our biggest Export.
Our choice not theirs.
We have also rejected the ECJ, so we leave the EU Agencies for Air Slots,Medicines,Chemicals and Nuclear.
We are now asking to be included in them.
The EU have said get stuffed, your decision, not ours.
Get your own, pay for it yourselves.
Welcome to the big bad world.
The EU are also saying, no deal without access to your Fisheries.
Same game as everyone else.
India has said no dealt without Free Movement.
The USA and others have made complaints to the WTO.
We are on our own now,up to our Politicians to deliver the Goods.
We said no Deal is better than a Bad Deal.
Every other Trading Nation knows we cannot do that, we are simply not ready, so they are all out to suff us.
That is how the World works.
