Having just had to pull Elsie out of the recycling bin in the kitchen I would say they are about even for daft places to go head first and get stuck !

I would say cats have a narrower focus in their cleverness than dogs. I have had cats who could open the fridge and the freezer, but my dog although pretty smart, can't do that. But he has learned a lot of other things.

Mostly they all learn how to manipulate me. At that they are all specialists.

Loyal? Well for a couple of biscuits and the chance to gob down some cat crunchies which make him fart, my little sod bunks off under the fence to next door, and refuses to come back.

Mind you when I go and get him my 88 year old neighbour plies me with Scotch. The good stuff. So maybe I forgive my little devil

I seem to think every creature has a good brain; or I give them a damn good chance to prove it. What the f*** do we need most of our stinky brain for anyway? We need the basics just like every other living creature - food and whatnot, beyond that it just gets confusing.
