They seek him here; they seek him there
Those poetry men seek him everywhere
They say he’s been thread jumping; don’t give a jot
Poor old Gumbud has slipped off his rocks!

But why have a thread for each single one
We will all have to thread jump and that’s not much fun
Let’s all stay together and move in with RJ
We’ll call it RJ’s & poetry berets??

I don’t want me own thread
It’s now up for sale
I’ve got me swag filled up
With many new tales

So RJ we wondered if you’d really mind
If we all bivouacked and took turns with our rhymes
A short lease will do us just in case you get tired
We know you like quiet and just your own time

BUT, if we’ve taken liberties with your private space
THEN, just say so quite gentle and we’ll cut for the chase
WE DON’T want to o’bear you with our turn of phrase
WE’LL KNOW when we’re not wanted and leave with a wave!!!

So without ceremony or other due

To my funeral parlour?
Where I will strive much harder
To write about lots of things
We can be a new poets ring.

Well here we are in JR's pad
He's laid out rocking chairs how fab
Monocled pens and writing sheets
The bereted poets sit at his feet!

they're polishing nibs
inkwells been filled
they're poised to pour out all their thrills

Spitfires will pour from out the sky
Jems of wisdom bye and bye
RJ's got many a tale to tell
And Gumbud well!; well! ah well!

Forgot to mention
still more chairs!
we'll give poor RJ one big scare
Is his teapot big enough
and does he have enough teacups?

Empty chair for Rachel dear
she likes them bigwell no surprise
and dear old MKJ who likes own cup
even though he don't give a fook
And Linden's poking 'round the door
'come in dear - we have some more'

if there's more budding poets
'round this sight then better show it
can't keep door open all the time
or grim reaper will have big find!

It’s taught in one of the holy books I recall
“I give you dominion over them all”
Birds of the air; fish of the sea
And four legged creatures that walk on their feet

But dominion means ‘power’ to rule not to kill
Animals will serve you; be under your will
They give up their food stuffs in abundance supply
Turn grass into milk and eggs from the sky!


To kill them is an atonement for ‘sin’
Not to fill market shelves and fill burgers to win
You’ve turned fat into FAT and milk into [S]CREAM
The world with full bellies that burst at the seams

My clothes do not fit and I waddle not walk
I have shortened my life span and with full mouth can’t talk
I am killing the animals for potions and pills
We will soon walk alone and climb barren filled hills

Where once roamed the sheep and gave wool for our cover
And cows gave up milk to be drunk from the udder
We cut down the trees, pollute rivers and streams
And wake up with our nightmares not heavenly dreams
