I too was put off by a teacher aged seven. NOt only did he put me off of education but also the church.

Mr Sebbourne was his name
and bullying was his game

(slight lapse in to verse there)

For failing to recite from memory the Lord's prayer he gave me 6 whacks with his plimsoll shoe.

I hated him from that day on & he continued for 2 more years to hassle me and he taunted me that my older brother was much cleverer than I was. He wasnt, but that's another story. (sorry bro).

I was also cheated & short changed along with other kids by the beastly Christian book shop owner . THis moron, kept a sweet shop with a back room full of bibles & stuff.
A very suspicious arrangement . I was not surprised when on a LIfe Boy's parade I saw him clutching the church's collection plate & disappearing into another back room.

Mr Dowding was his name
Cheating was his game


But , I have not led a blameless life
I have caused my share of strife

But I forgive them both with all the grace I can muster
Their mothers must have loved them, the rotten buggas
