Papercrafter

Is anyone else into Art journaling, Scrapbooking, ATC's, or Glue booking?

If so I would love to hear from you and see your work.

Re: Papercrafter

I do a bit of scrap booking but more like the traditional type with out all the squirly curly extras they seem to need these days. Much simpler and practical to use.

Re: Papercrafter

There's only one problem with making cards, they're expensive to post. I've now given up, use my papers etc. to make decoupaged boxes.

Re: Papercrafter

Great it's lovely to see I'm not the only crafter here.
I was wondering if you would be interested in joining an online club?
For it, all you do is take turns to pick a subject and add a photo of your work which you e mail to each other.
The topic can be in any medium you like and it's an opportunity to see each others styles and maybe pick up a new skill by trying each others medium that the piece is done in. No pressure it's just a way for us to share our favorite styles in a unified theme.
Let me know what you think.

Re: Papercrafter

We could do that on here, start a craft thread like the photo ones. I like Pinterest, people share their skills & there's tutorials.

Re: Papercrafter

How to make a "Vintage Box"

I used yellow ochre with a bit of burnt umber..

Photocopy old music, magazine pics, craft paper, old stamps etc.

put paste on back & cover front after positioning. Add stickers, ink stamps, coating with glue before painting, to stop ink running.
When dry brush over with yellow ochre mixed with burnt umber, thin dilute layer.
When dry, coat with 3 layers pva glue or acrylic varnish. Dry between coats. Add jewels, other embellishments such as bows.
Paint inside box & bottom if desired. Add large bead, to centre top.
