I doubt you have ever had to negotiate a deal on behalf of a third party ( UK electorate) based on your black and white , intransigent interpretation of how these negotiations are progressing.

The brief given to the negotiators will contain a lot more lateral movement than you are able to comprehend, despite the grandstanding by the politicians for the cameras.

The Red Lines are still in place.

The Hard Line Brexiteers are still adamant about leaving the ECJ.

It is too late to change some things, the Medicines Agency has a new base in the EU, it is leaving the UK and two of our biggest drugs companies, including AstraZenica, are moving their testing and approval units to the EU.

The European Banking Authority is relocating to France.

Euratom is moving work from Oxfordshire to the EU and no new contracts are being awarded to UK Firms, Euratom only awards them to member Countries.

It remains to be seen who is correct on the Red Lines and the effect that they have.

You are correct in that I am not experienced in negotiating.

I was once briefly involved in negotiating a minor issue with the French.

I was quickly removed,
