I can see what you mean Meg, but why not just spread the cream on one half and the jam on the other, then close the two halves together?
Wouldn't matter which went on first that way.


BTW, I'm common, cos I say Scone (rhymes with moan).

That’s far too technical, I would be afraid of eating it the wrong way around
