I tried to fly back from America on 29 June with BA

Flight cancelled.

Had An extra day in hotel and tried to claim compensation on my return home the next day

What a joke Because of the so called Data protection act, after claiming on line to get 80 pounds back I have to write a letter claiming that I represent my self. and submit my claim again in writing

Wonder how many of these poor sods will get any money.

Really annoying and hope you get a good outcome.

We gave up on flying unless an emergency and drive where we want to go with Europe on our doorstep we'd rather drive than all the hassle of airports.

We have had similar issues. It makes my blood boil.

It's why we have given up flying anywhere. We are treated like sh*t by the majority of airlines. It makes me laugh when they offer money off the next flight as compensation - as if anyone would fly with them again.

We have had quite a bit in compensation.
They never learn.

I was due to fly back on the 29th The Lady who shared my room(I was her toy boy) flew back on the 27th and the same thing happened to the her flight the day before.

PS When I say Toy Boy she is well past it as I am She was born 7/10/42 I was born 10/10 /42
