It has happened, and I just jump right in before thinking! I would hope another might come to my aid if I ever needed help.However, my son keeps telling me to be more careful. He says I don't know if they have a knife or gun, on drugs, or whatever.
I don't carry a weapon at all, but I do have a firm tone to my voice, when I say, "Stay Put, and don't move a muscle"....so far, it's been effective, but I shouldn't push my luck.

I don't honestly know. It would depend on the cirumstances at the time.It if it was a small kid being bullied I'd probably wade in, or animal cruelty, but I don't think I would if it was two adult men fighting, or worse still, a whole group of people fighting - No.
I wouldn't want a knife in my ribs thank you, so best just to phone 999 quick and stay out of danger IMO.
