Cameron Quits

Just announced that David Cameron is to step down as MP for Witney thus triggering a bi-election.

Good news for UJ no doubt.

Re: Cameron Quits

He's not been around recently.
I have been reliably informed that someone on this forum bought him a new armchair.
Maybe he plugged it in?

Hi

Good on Cameron, at least he is better than Blair, who is still sticking around and telling us what to do.

Re: Cameron Quits

He was a good prime minister over all. He rescued his party from the doldrums and he rescued the country from the dire days of the Brown/Milliband era, it was such a shame he lost the plot towards the end over Brexit because if he had played it straight he could have gone down as a great prime minister.

Re: Cameron Quits

Previous Prime Ministers have engaged in lucrative after dinner speaking, written memoirs and taken up advisory roles. Cameron will be no different. He may be worth only £3m or so at the moment but, now the shackles of public service are off, he'll be making at least that amount every year from now on.

Re: Cameron Quits

I can't see anything goes wrong with that, he still has a living to earn to provide for his family. If people are prepared to pay him the sort of figure they do for public speaking, good luck to him.
