This thread reminded me of the story of my sister whos then boyfriend turned up to take her out in a three wheel car, her face, she went out with him that night but then dumped him as she would not be seen out in such a car.

So funny, I know it was not a bubble car but it funny what triggers memories.

My cousin Alan had one, he was huge, it made me laugh to see him squashed into it.
Wasn't there a song about one by Bob Newhart or somebody like that? It kept overtaking, was stuck in second gear or some such...

A friend of mine decided to restore an old Messerschmitt bubble car and spent weeks trying to remove the wheel hubs only to discover they were left hand threaded.

Looking at the orange bubble car I'm amazed 6 of us got in it , I'm sure our arms and legs must have been entangled .
