That telling Picture!
Many papers have published the picture, of the EU meeting, with the so called "Empty Table", on the UK side, but with full portfolios on the EU side.Typically, the UK press have jumped, on this, as another example of the UK being ill prepared and ill equipped to carry out the negotiations.
Sad, really, because it is now being revealed that this was a photo shoot set up, more or less, straight after the UK team got off the plane & before they had even unpacked.
Well done to the EU!
Also, not mentioned, was the fact that 100 or so UK negotiators were also there to start doing the real work (many more than in the EU team, it.s said)

Listening to a former Ambassador on the radio this morning our team did exactly the right thing. You don't carry reams of documents around these days where the press can get their eyes on them.Typical of the EU dinosaurs appearing with their piles of paper , perhaps they haven't heard of laptops. More that likely they were trying to look intimidating and impressive but failed miserably with me

Who said that?
The EU have a published and agreed strategy for the talks.
Our Government cannot even agree amongst itself.
Boris has said
The EU can go whistle over the Exit Bill.
That we will continue to trade tariff free with the EU.
That we will be financially better off as a result of Brexit.
That we have no plan for a no deal as we will get a deal.
Time will tell if he is right.
At the moment he is not doing too well with his predictions.

The Brexit Bulldog was keen to get back to the end of term bash at Westminster.The sadness of it is that he falls headlong into situations that make him and the UK look ridiculous. He is wide open to unflattering interpretation.
He is going back to Brussels on Thursday.

And some people in this country still think we'd be better off under the control of these arrogant, corrupt people.

The exact pattern of recesses can change and is normally slightly different for the two Houses.
So we have Brexit, the biggest thing since WW2, The Great Repeal Bill etc and they cannot be bothered to put the hours in.

I was not so interested in papers or lack of papers. (IMO heaps of papers do not mean much, kill trees and excess papers are def not a positive). I was interested in the body language.... is nobody interested in the body language of this pic? It speaks volumes to me.
