Re: Haribo

I often pick up a packet at the super market but always forget the ones I like.
I think it is Starmix, it's the cola bottles and sugar coated sour ones I don't like.

I got some jelly babies recently, but they have messed them about, there was two of them holding hands and nothing like how I remember them.

Re: Haribo

Haribos have become very popular lately, but I have always thought of them as "cheap" rubbish sweets. I do worry a bit about the gelatine in them as well as the colours. No nutritional value - they are junk, but I do like some of them, especially the "fizzy" ones - my poor teeth I suppose too many of them are poison as Realist says.

Re: Haribo

Being diabetic I don't eat them but the little packs are great for keeping in my car, just in case my blood sugar levels lower .

Re: Haribo

I think if you have a reasonable diet a little rubbish won't do too much harm. Grace likes haribo but we only buy them party days. I would no more feed her daily on them than I'd walk on my hands to landsend. They are a treat.

Same with cola and fizzy drinks, normally we just drink fizzy water its a treat to have cola etc at parties and on holiday.

Much that us eaten could be considered a poison but we don't die of it so a little IMO us fine.

Better to have the treats and be happy than a miserable person only eats salad leaves and spends time trying to spoil others fun !

Re: Haribo

Bassett/Maynards used to sell, until comparatively recently, not bags, but boxes of wine gums. A box would usually last me a couple weeks.

Re: Haribo

I think Haribo sweets are horrible. Like eating rubber grommets. Give me a bag of jelly babies anyday.
Or a box of New Berry Fruits (do they still make these lovely jellies with the liquid centres?)

Re: Haribo

New berry fruits - now you are talking Floydy - delicious, biting into that crunchy case and finding the liquid centre.
