Actually that's a good point Meg I'd rather not eat meat but if I did I'd want it free of the bacterias that can harm us.

A pity then that some chicken isn't marked as halal so the buyer can make a decision to buy it or not.

Judd it's not marked but if you ring your supermarket most are very happy to guide you to non halal meats. A while ago tesco said anything killed in uk wasn't halal but from abroad that it was likely to be. That was about 6 years ago so I'd ring again now if I was buying meat to see if it's changed at all.

Hi

The whole point about chlorination of meat is to save costs, in particular cleaning costs in slaughterhouses and farms.

Yes and it will be cheaper so our producers will be forced to comply, but then we won't be able to export to Europe unless they do it too. I personally think ingesting chlorine s revolting

Re: Brexit equals Chlorinated chicken and other nasties

Changing subject slightly, our tap water tastes very chlorinated, when I had a bath ( before I moved to this place which has a walk in shower before anyone thinks I don't wash) the water would be blue and smell like swimming pool water when the bath was run.
Several neighbours have had either kidney or bladder cancer, some have died.
I've often wondered if it's the water.

Hi

Well it won't be the chlorine or chloramine in the water that is the cause of it.

In many parts of the country you can find out what is in your tap water on line, using a postcode search.

Didn't that scumbag 'nasty party' member John Gummer eat a mad cow (Thatcher phth, phth, phth) infected burger just to prove they are edible.

Now Liam Fox the scumbag 'nasty party's' Trade Minister, is being offered a similar choice with chlorine contaminated chicken. I wonder if he'll accept???
