One of my earliest childhood memories is watching the generation game on a Saturday night. Lots of people, like us, still had black and white TVs. So he would do his "give us a twirl Anthea" and then describe the colours of her dress for those without the luxury of a colour telly.

He was a superb song and dance man
He sang and danced with the greats like Sammy Davis Junior.

Yes, great entertainer, and bought much fun, in that context, I'm sure Bruce would not condemn, for pointing out, we all end up on the conveyer belt, at some point. RIP.
