Re: May's Big Speech

Hi

JBR.

Hammond can add up, the other idiots cannot.

I am no longer part of the system, long gone.

I have absolutely no influence at all.

Hammond is a realist, he can add up and is as disgusted as the rest of us that we giving away £ Billions because of incompetence.

It is his job to minimise the Financial Effects.

Hi

I would be more interested if you had any basis in fact.

You do not.

I have always been against the idea of using the 'ignore' facility, but some time ago I put Purwell on ignore, not so much because I disagree with his views - I think that a discussion forum is all about disagreeing with others and debating - but quite simply that his one-liners were of little interest and not really worth reading.

I'm afraid that many of your posts are the same.

Hi

I know you will not UJ.

You would rather see a system where not working is a criminal offence.

A system where you are allocated a job and housing hundreds of miles away with no choice as to where you live.

A system where the size of your accommodation is decided by your Membership of the Party.

I have had a Girlfriend in tears at recounting how she had to give a blowjob to Party Officials at the age of 16 to get a job locally to look after her Mother.

That is the reality of the system you support.

It is not for me.

I have a very simple view of life.

A woman's body is hers to give.

It is not to be taken by men with power.

That is totally wrong in my view.

You are way out of order there. The scenario that you describe has no relevance to the kind of government that Uncle Joe and I would like to see in power.

Hi

Bollocks.

That is the reality of what UJ supports.

That was Communism in Poland.

Imposed by UJs namesake.

Uncle Joe, Joseph Stalin.

The brains behind Corbyn, is a supporter of the Stasi.

Seumas Milne.

I have too many Polish Babuchas saying the same thing, what happened to them.

They cry when they describe it.

So swan off Purwell, you have no idea.

Re: May's Big Speech

My late brother-in-law used to travel extensively to Hungary and Poland behind the Iron Curtain with his job, in the old Cold War days.
The tales he told of the conditions he saw, the total lack of any luxuries or even basic medication... and the kinds of things swims describes re the girls is exactly what he used to tell us.
So corrupt...
He said we in the West had no idea how privileged we were...

I agree with you. I don't think it's the kind of society which most people would like to see happen.

It's the Conservative governments who've demonised and targeted the unemployed and other benefit recipients and whose policies been responsible for many low income people being shunted hundreds of miles away from their home area for housing.

Modern socialism, as espoused by the Labour Party is light years away from the socialism of Marx and Engels and its both ridiculous and unfair to allege differently.

I am not a Labour supporter

Really? What year are you describing? It was not common practice in Communist Poland for people to be sent away from their families to work. Perhaps if they had important government jobs? It could certainly have been the case in the Soviet Union while Stalin was alive.

The communists persecuted & killed many while Stalin was still in control. He was a mass murderer.

But I don't think anyone here supports Stalin's form of communism. It wasn't real communism anyway. He fell out with the purists and had them destroyed. Most just want to see an increase in socialism to levels that are bearable. Where we have a decent welfare state and look after those who are too weak to look after themselves.

I myself support a mixed economy but the global economy is now so complex it's difficult to make any system work efficiently. But all political systems are open to corruption, greed, sexual abuse by those in power, including whatever it is we have now. There are plenty of sex pests in managerial positions in the UK too.

exactly, for years people have been forced to head south for jobs because that's the only place they can get work. It's more so a part of capitalism than communism. Aside from Stalin's mass deportations, the Soviet bloc were not particularly keen on people moving around. They might spread information that they wanted to keep under the lid.
