Walking your dog?

Do you or would you allow anyone else to walk your dog(s)?

(Providing of course you have a dog)!!

Re: Walking your dog?

I never have - my dogs have more off lead exercise than on lead walks and I think it would be too much of a responsibility to ask anyone else.

I don't have a dog but I think I would if I knew the person well enough.

I enjoy walking Dylan to much to allow someone else to walk him.

If I could'nt walk him I would get a close friend or neighbour to do it for me.

Thank God cats do not have to be walked! If they did, the answer would be no.

Re: Walking your dog?

Yes indeed. We live adjacent to the forest, the dogs therefore are never on a lead so they exercise themselves; all they need is a little supervision!
We will take our neighbour`s dogs, if it is too icy or cold for example, and they will take ours if, for example we have to go out somewhere.
Good system, it works for us....

If for whatever reason I'm unable to walk Hatti, my very good friend will take her for me with her dogs. I trust her implicitly and all the dogs get on very well together. The only other people who I trust with her are my Brother & SIL.....

Re: Walking your dog?

I might, but quite often Bara, who thinks of herself as the pack leader, will refuse to go very far if my OH is not with us, so I have my doubts if Bara would go with anyone else, and I don't think Rianna would either.

Re: Walking your dog?

A very good naighbour takes Asti out for a walk every week morning with her two Border Terriers, she is a real dog lover so I don't have any worries. I wouldn't let Asti go with just anyone.
