Impeachment proceedings have begun. Main charge against Mugabe is allowing his wife to usurp government powers and his age. He could be gone by tomorrow.

The military have been extraordinarily forebearing with the old B.
Generally coups and it is a military coup are not so gentle especially in Africa .
Perhaps they don't want to seen as people who would knock off a 93 year old.
However they won't hold off forever he's out and goodness knows who will follow him .

They risk making a martyr of him, they must be patient and wait for the legal processes to oust him for good.

Thank goodness Mugabe has gone. I used to work with a lovely woman who came here from Zimbabwe with her family when their farm was confiscated by Mugabe. They lost everything .

I hope the people of Zimbabwe eventually get democratic elections and that Mugabe's successor Mnangagwa doesn't deny them that once he gets installed.
