Coconut oil & turmeric for teeth whitening

I have just bought some coconut oil and Tumeric as its suposed to be good as whitening toothpaste.
Feel a bit nervous what if it makes them yellow instead

Sorry this is in the wrong place.

I've never heard of turmeric for teeth whitening Muddy - where did you hear that?

Coconut oil is good though - it's a brilliant antimicrobial.

I tried coconut oil for my teeth, nearly gagged at having oil in my mouth. It didn't work for me. Turmeric is supposed to be good for oral hygiene but that isn't quite the same as a tooth whitener.

Seems odd as Turmeric is used as natural dye, would not have thought it would aid whitening.

Re: Coconut oil & turmeric for teeth whitening

I've used coconut oil for ages for all sorts of things including teeth cleaning. I prefer the taste to toothpaste.

I also tried the turmeric with coconut oil and I think it does make them whiter although you have to be very careful when using it as to what you're wearing as it does stain terribly if you spill a bit. even wiping your mouth with a facecloth afterwards results in bright yellow stain!

Best priced coconut oil is a big jar from Aldi for about £3 as opposed to £16 in Holland and Barrett. Just the same though 100% raw organic BUT they only sell it when it's on special.
