UK to reclaim its Waters for British Fishermen!

DT, page 20, says that "Teresa May is expected to announce within weeks that the UK will reclaim its waters for British Fishermen by pulling out of a deal that pre dates the EU"

The Prime Minister will take us out of the 1964 London Convention which allows European Fishing Vessels to access waters six to 12 miles from British shores.

Apparently, Brexit will spell the end of the hated Common Fisheries Policy and allow the UK to assert control over its 200 mile exclusive zone!

Hope it comes true!

Macron, the French President has said earlier that the UK must be made to pay in full, the so called divorce bill.

Now he is pleading that France retain the right to fish in UK waters.. He should be told we retain the rights for fishing in those areas, and as it stands the French and the Netherlands should not be allowed near them, at least until their attitude to Brexit changes dramatically

I sincerely hope someone puts a bucket of fish over Philip Hammond's head with his suggestion that we use our Fishing rights as a sweetener in the negotiations. We need to have our waters back. The fishing industry was decimated when we joined the EU.

As for Macron, of course he can fish in our waters, but he will damn well pay top dollar for the privilege. Get in line.......lol.
