Perhaps post-Brexit Britain will re-open the mines, sending some children down with a canary... no need for expensive student loans when you've a lifetime career in t'pits.
I think you'd find that many of the miners who were made redundant and are still young enough would jump at the chance to go back down the mines.
Children (and women) have not been allowed down coal mines since 1840. Try to get your facts right.

Naive objectors seem to be unduly prevalent in this country these days, don't they?
Nuclear objections are misled. The waste is an issue, but in terms of safety we are very close to France which apparently has 58 reactors. So it's hardly worth our protests.
