Re: Pet insurance

Mups, sorry, this isn't the mag I'm familiar with! I was thinking of Your Dog. I'll pop along to WH Smith tomorrow and have a look for that one.

Jazzi, my newest copy came through my door today, but it might not be on sale in the shops till next week.
They are a month ahead of themselves, so the new one will be the December issue and it's £3.99.

Oh, OK.
Just thought the insurance info might have been useful.

If I'm in there again I'll take a look. Is it in the December issue?

Yes. If you miss it, the next issue is in the shops 7th Dec.
That'll be the January issue.

Re: Pet insurance

Why are you having arguments with Anmal friendly Susie ? My son has our dog ins. with them & no problem. We have claimed twice for operarations on our dogs paws & each time they paid up, the last was over £600 , though now they say they will no longer ins. his paws/legs..
Look up on the internet & see who /what offers best value.

Re: Pet insurance

Hi Deylon,

For the first time we have claimed for our Cat, the total price was £368.00, we had a £99.00 access to pay, but afterwards the Insurance Company told us that we had to pay them another £70.00 because our Cat is over 8 years old, well they should have told us that in the beginning, which they never, at the end we did pay them the money, but they was also very slow in doing the claim because they wanted their £70.00.

Re: Pet insurance

We are looking for insurance for our 8 week-old kittens and have been searching for quotes. The following are for the lowest level of cover and are 'time limited' policies, but give some sort of comparison.

Pet Plan - £8.93 each - £3000 annual and per condition - £75 excess

LV= - £7.73 each - £5000 annual and per condition - £100 excess

Animal Friends - £3.58 each - £3000 annual but £500 per condition - £99 excess

Others I have looked at are unable to give a quote at this time. It is Saturday night, after all.

Of course, we also need to look at reviews, and such advice on here is very useful of course.

Re: Pet insurance

No doubt the cheaper ones are because the kittens would only be covered for a few basics JBR.
The more you pay, the more circumstances they cover usually.
I guess it's the same with any insurance for anything.

Did they say how much the excess's you would have to pay were?
