We had a thread about these last year, or maybe it was earlier this year, can't remember now Tabby.
I know pots and toms are the same family, but it still seems strange doesn't it. I expect some people will want to try them as an experiment, but think I'll give it a miss.
I believe I read in my garden mag that one problem could be that they both get the same virus's (e.g. blight), so in theory, if you got potato blight it might wipe out your tomatoes as well.

I'm quite happy to grow them separately and I bet the plants are quite dear making them uneconomic.

I suppose it might be interesting to grow one for it's curiosity value but you could get quite a few spuds and toms for £9.99.

They do sound rather intriguing Silver, in essence they seem a good idea, but as some have pointed out, there are drawbacks. I don"t grow veg but always have admiration for those who do.
