Hosepipes

I've been thinking about replacing my hosepipe, and was wondering about getting one of those crinkly expanding ones this year, the ones that fold up tiny for storage.
Has anyone here got one, or do you know if they are any good?

I have two, one 100ft and one 50ft. They are extremely good!

Re: Hosepipes

Aha, that's encouraging news, thanks Moyra.
Do you have to bring them in over the winter?

Re: Hosepipes

What is wrong with an ordinary one you leave stretched out down the garden? I just have an ordinary 30 metre hose.

The crinkly ones catch on things and rolling them up makes kinks. I leave mine stretched down the path then looped back to the tap so I can pick up the nozzle when I turn on the tap.

Yes Mups they have to be protected during winter months and no Bruce they do not kink up that this the best bit they unravel themselves.

No, I meant rolling ordinary hoses makes them kink (badly worded I agee). Those curly ones just catch on anything.

Re: Hosepipes

We have the shrinking fabric type ones, they are excellent, but you canīt leave them out in the sun. Easy enough to put away after use though, no weight to them at all.

I'm sure I saw one of those hoses on Groupon today.

I don't need them nowadays as I'm in a flat, but I miss it for washing my car

Re: Hosepipes

Thanks everyone. Think I'll pace out roughly the length I'll need and give one a try.
