Problem with my cordyine.

Could anybody tell me why the tips of my cordyline are drying up please?
It’s had plenty of water and I’ve dug some slow release food pellets around it. I don’t know what to do now.

A friend suggested just snipping the dried ends off but I’m not sure it’s the right thing to do….

Re: Problem with my cordyine.

Looks like stress from a cold snap or cold winter Carol.

I don't have any Cordyline left now as they didn't like my North-facing back garden - too cold.

Snip off those leaves as it'll be trying to feed that damaged bit and it's a waste of it's energy.

Don't water it too much either - they're used to drought.

If you are lucky it'll recover. stevmk2

Carol I agree with Steve it looks like frost damage to me after the warm spell. Most of the plant looks healthy.

Definitely a little bit of wind damage Carol, and nothing to worry about according to the Oracle (Mrs P ) . As the others have said, just snip the ends off if they bother you and if you then ignore it for awhile it wil soon recover....

Yes she was Eliza - she certainly knows her plants.
I don't think she'd mind me getting a second opinion. My Cordyline means a lot to me.
