Re: High Maintenance

I must spend about £20 a year on new clothes - is that 'high maintenance'?

Re: High Maintenance

Far too much Alan...you need to cut that right back!

Low maintenance lady coming through.

I don't wear/buy/use make up, jewellery, spray tans, designer clothes, shoes don't interest me, designer kitchens or bathrooms, high end cars, posh food or expensive restaurants.

My clothes come from Bon Marche (ex C&A).

As you know, my only extravagance is electrical gadgets, computers, books & magazines, and the odd holiday. Paid for by myself anyway!

Re: High Maintenance

Definitely not. Go to the hairdresser twice a year. My makeup takes 5 minutes to apply. I've never had a spray tan. I like supermarket and online clothes. Doesn't have to be a fancy restaurant, I love a pub lunch . Drive a wee toty car but also happy to go on the bus. I do like to coordinate my clothes and shoes but it takes very little time to even do that. Life's too short. I want to get out there

Re: High Maintenance

What a posh lot! (apart from Alan) I get most of my clothes from charity shops and Ebay! Can't get much lower than that!

Re: High Maintenance

Tessa your like me, i only buy new clothes if i have to, nearly all my clothes are seconds from ebay, charity shops and car boots, but nearly all brand new as people these days just tend to wear once or twice and through away? I was told to look after my clothes when i was little, so they last me quite a while, but i've noticed over the years my t shirts that i wear don't last me too long as they get holes where my belt buckle is on my jeans so they are ruined, but i where them for work under my pinny
My furniture is years old and my new suite was from the Salvation Army as was my Bureau and various small tables. I love older Antique furniture that lasts forever...
I prefer to give things rather than recieve as i have all i need

Re: High Maintenance

Emm depends on your perspective, i think most on here would be considered high maintenance by my good self. Still think knives and forks are jewelry
