Both Markey and Myra have been banned for abusing our mod team. They can apologise via the contact us form or stay away. Both our moderators give a great deal of their time to help moderate these forums which is a lot more involved than people might think - they shouldn't need to put up with the kind of rubbish seen in this thread.

Oh dear...anyways back on topic. There was an episode of the Twilight Zone that's stayed with me as frightening...the one where the world has been destroyed and this man is apparently the last human. He wakes up by the remains of a library. Then somehow he breaks his glasses...the end. I would be miserable if I went blind. I'm sometimes reading four or five books at a time...one of my favorite diversions.

BTW TessA, a movie you want to avoid is "Magic", it was a horror movie about a murderous ventriloquist dummy. Scared me to pieces for a few years.

Spiders and a children's TV show that scared me silly when I was a child= anyone remember children of the stones ? traumatised me that one did

I remember tipping a pint of beer about 30 years ago and even now I still wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat I think I've been traumatised for life.

I don't fear death itself. It's being more afraid of a debilitating illness. I remember an aunt who succumbed to stomach cancer and at the end there weren't painkillers strong enough to help. If you just die it's over...don't want to hang on for years suffering.
