Re: Stuff to do with the grandkids

a grand parents lament

we love them and we hate them
yearn when they move away
and when they say they're coming
wonder when they'll go away?

they bring their news and bustle
the chatter; laughter thing
sometimes it can be weary
and we long for private things

the house gets so untidy
and there's food stains on the mat
the dog has turned neurotic
and for days not see the cat

they roll in announce 'we're here'
take over plasma screen
and watch those awful movies
the kids seem to find a dream

but when the cash has finally gone
and they head back home again
the place seems strangely quiet
and I start to go insane

so I miss them when they're gone
and long to see their cheek grins
i want them back but not just yet
some breathing space with gin!

Ah, so pleased! Do you know how he did the pixels? Is there a programme for that?

Thanks
