It supplies 20% of the electricity for Poland and has been upgraded and expanded using British technology.
That could have been us if we hadn't been so short-sighted.

Since the war we have, in many respects, regressed due to nothing more than our own poor decisions. What Hitler couldn't do to us, we have done to ourselves.

Perhaps we should be spending money on nuclear plants instead of HS2?

This is undoubtedly true most of our coal goes to China and India at the rate of 400 million tonnes per year.

However when the miners went on strike during the tenure of your kiddy fiddler PM Australia offered to land coal in Britain for the power industry (which would have saved you from the three day week) at less than half the cost of UK produced coal.

Unbelievably Heath turned it down.

And the truth actually is.......

It also concluded that fracking will be barely economically feasible in the UK, especially in Scotland, because of a lack of sites with suitable geology. The researchers warned that the UK will soon have to import all the oil and gas it needs.

No problem.

We'll just have to build more nuclear power stations, as I've been saying for years.

Or go back to coal mining. There's still plenty down there.
