Non-Abrasive Cleaners for Glass Oven Door

My door is pretty clean but has stubborn grease spots which cannot be removed with the recommended soap and water.

Any ideas, please .....

I bought a kit from tesco a few weeks ago that has a bag you put all the shelves in and you put the bottle of goop in and leave it over night. I used some of that painted on the glass it came up a treat.

Hi

Heat resistant glass is a doddle.

Elbow Grease, a £1 a bottle and an Aluminium Scourer, easily found in Home Bargains.

Although I haven’t tried it, apparently if you get the heavy duty type hand wipes, they are supposed to be really good on baked on grease, I have some in the van so I will have to try some on our oven glass..

I don't know how old your oven is but if it's fairly modern it might have a clean setting. If not Oven mate will do it although it is a bit messy.

Re: Non-Abrasive Cleaners for Glass Oven Door

My oven is 4 Years old, is rarely used for roasting or baking but, naturally, has acquired a "coating" which I've kept to a minimum with regular cleaning with soap and water.

There are, however, some grease-spots, 1mm in diameter, on the inner oven door which are resistant to soap and water and are beginning to accumulate and look unsightly in an otherwise (almost) spotless kitchen. So it's these spots that I want to treat without damaging the glass.

I was recommended Astonish Oven Clean Power Spray for exactly the same type marks on the internal glass door as you describe, on an otherwise unmarked glass door .
I took the door out to spray it and used one of those sponge one side scour pad the other side on it .
