No Julie it's not .
Thhese people are not going to be sent back and really in decades of living in the Uk I am very surprised that they have no paperwork it will be sorted out .

I thought like that until Annie made some very reasoned posts. I've also found its expensive to become a citizen, many won't have had that money to spend or would have thought it unnessary expense as the rules were unlikely to change.

O how come on Julie it's not THAT expensive and it certainly wouldn't have been forty years ago .
Something as important as citizenship should always be addressed .
Loads of Carribean people go back to the Carribean when they retire .
And you would be surprised how much resentment and unpleasantness they get from those who have never left the Islands .
Not all of course
Most always look back to the UK with fondness .

It was an error as has already been mentioned. Not evil, not racist but an error, which Labour see as a way to deflect attention from their anti-semitic behaviour and Corbyn's disgraceful disingenuous utterances in order to make political capital over Syria. I know which I think is evil

Most always look back to the UK with fondness .
In your world it may not have been expensive when at various times I've only looked at passports we decided we couldn't afford them nearly £70 last time I looked I bet they are more now. Is in thousands to get citizenship. Many won't have felt that was something they could stretch to
