Re: OFF slimming club---open to everyone.

Susie, you have wonderful sounding meals.

Today for lunch I had steamed edamame, green beans with almonds, a bit of potato salad and a small ham & cheese wrap. Couldn't eat it all, though.

For dinner I'm having smoked salmon and swiss cheese tea sandwiches and clam strips.

However, I'm looking forward to Sunday dinner. Stuffed green peppers and mashed potatoes.

Thank you Linda, I didn't think my Meals were that good, to me there just day to day meals.

Not cooking today we are going out to the Indian Restaurant for our anniversary and I will be having:

Chicken Tikka (only a starter), some rice and dry veg. curry.

They just always sound so yummy

I may have stated it before, but I really don't like Indian food. I tried liking it, but it's just not a food that's ever tickled my fancy. And I absolutely despise curry. Then the last time I tried to like it, I had a really bad experience (hair in the food, almost broke my tooth on a bone, etc) so that put me off of it for life, I think.

Re: OFF slimming club---open to everyone.

It wasn't with a curry because I won't eat curry (after tasting it once years ago). This was with other Indian foods that I attempted to like at a different restaurant. There was hair in the rice and the meat I had was full of small bones. That was me done.

That's ashame Linda, there shouldn't be any bones in the meat at all.

Tomorrow for the first time I am making my own Chicken Red Thai Curry and Rice, just hope it comes out alright.

Re: OFF slimming club---open to everyone.

I was wondering if that was normal or not. Because I found several bones throughout the meat once I'd bitten down into a bone not knowing it was there. Then there was the hair in the rice. So those things, coupled with my hatred for curry, put me off Indian food permanently.

For lunch today I had a stuffed green bell pepper and mashed potatoes (leftovers from Sunday dinner) and tonight I'm being a little bad - was craving Taco Bell. But I didn't get my SUPER bad favorites, I just got a chicken burrito and a couple of tacos.
