I once had an abscess in a front upper tooth. I was in the middle of B&Q when I suddenly doubled over in pain. Fortunately, it passed quickly.
When I went to the dentist he suggested it would be best out as there wasn't much viable root left. He gave me antibiotics first to calm down the infection, then came the day. I had the usual anaesthetic injection and out came the pliers. Thinking I'd feel nothing, I hit the ceiling. Apparently, infection and abscesses greatly reduce the effectiveness of an anaesthetic.
I wish I'd had gas, but apparently they don't do that any more.
A tooth that was due to be removed on Wednesday at the dentist started to get loose last Friday. Just now I woke up and the tooth had come out on its own.
So no painful injections in the gum and I will have to cancel that appointment for Wednesday . YIPPEE
