I don't care if the passport is sky blue with pink spots
what I am pleased about is the wheels have been sent in motion to rid us of the EU passport and that is another indication of our imminent departure from the EU

Meg there is nothing inside the passport that mentions Europe, it states "member of the country of Great Britain and Northern Ireland". The only place European union is mentioned is on the cover, in very small letters above Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Exactly, the blue passport is a symbol of all that, and of the Brexiteers xenophobic attitudes, which is why I find the thought of carrying one and appearing to be connected to Brexit and the Brexiteers unpleasant.

I'll hang on to my burgundy one as long as possible by renewing in September 2019 and getting a burgundy one which will last until 2029. If I'm still alive by then hopefully the self-destructive stupidity will be undone and our young people will have carried us back into the EU.
