Re: Birds

There are Jackdaws on the castle and I think they get enough food from roadkill round here but we have some come everyday and study how to get into the place where the food is but as yet they havent made it. Joe put green covered wire around a bush and birds as big as Thrushes and Blackbirds can get through and all the small birds. its bedlum in there first thing, lunch time and tea time. The end of next month and he will be doing Fatballs and seed and nuts.

Re: Birds

We are just getting the birds back, not like before when the feeders was forever having to be filled but it's a start. It could be because there is a construction going on in a field near us. We have always had the birds nesting in the back garden and rearing young ones year in and year out apart from this year. I have missed them this year as I always watched out for the young ones when mum and dad went for food.

He returned today more suitably attired, since the garden is mostly underwater I thought to turn him into a fish eagle.

I got him as far as walking the plank but he cocked an eye that said me? not bl***y likely.

Re: Birds

Lovely butterfly Ron, and your robin is still at the scruffy stage, I think.
'Our' robin is very smart now, and follows us round the garden and loves to chat.

More like "These boots were made for walking, and that's just what they'll do"!

Just about half-past ten
For the first time in history
It's gonna start raining hen.
