Well, there's a contrast!
Love them both.
Isn't Art Garfunkel's breathy voice lovely. Lovely love song too.
Papa's Got a Brand New Bag .... hmm, something sexual there, methinks
Here's mine. I actually had a Paul Simon song earmarked (Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes) then I heard a radio documentary about the harmonica and they played a clip from this. Oh my - talk about tugging at your heartstrings and it soooo fitted with the wonderful bleakness of the film.
So, Paul Simon tomorrow or another day. Here's the brilliant John Barry
Ohhhh......such a long time have pass since I hearing this song! Jon Voight & Dustin Hoffman....wow..... it is quite a beautiful song to hear it with harmonica.....I like very much.... it have a sad sound like crying almost...and as you say, harmonica fits with the bleakness of the movie - the darkness of the characters.... You nail it! Thank you for this one, my darlin' friend! xo From Gia
This one is a snappy tune!... I like it... a lots of history for this song - a proud time in British past - and also Scottish past... Two thumb ups! Very good... xo Gia
