We had a red one at our last address and it almost took over the world with the spread of flowers. That's why I planted this one where we live now. That was about 8 or 9 years ago. The shoots got eaten by ants in the first year but it's been getting gradually better and better each year with a bit of nurturing.Re: Trumpet vine
It's not an evergreen Mups. The one we had at the last house was a prolific grower with hundreds of flowers on it but it died off to brown stems each winter. A very attractive plant once it gets going but it has be trimmed back hard every now and then to keep it under control.Re: Trumpet vine
