I have just happened upon Mark Billingham and his Detective Thorne series, currently on book two "Scaredy Cat" and it is good - but seriously gruesome!

Just finished Don't Know Much About the Bible by Kenneth Davis and have now started The Beak of the Finch by Jonathan Weiner, a book about evolutionary biology that focuses on the Finches in the Galapagos Islands.

Re: What book are you reading now?

I'm currently reading Elvis Costello's autobiography, "Unfaithful Music and Disappearing Ink" - I've always liked his music and think he is ridiculously underrated as a singer, songwriter and producer. He was also a local lad and worked for a while at the Elizabeth Arden perfume factory at Park Royal. The factory still has a poster outside announcing that "Elvis has left the building!"

This is an example of his songwriting genius (as an extra bonus it features jazz great Chet Baker playing a beautiful trumpet solo).

I read that some while ago. If it is the one I am thinking of, is there a part 2 of it?
