For me it is seeing the Coco Cola lorry all lit up on the TV adverts that does it for me. I have watched that over the years.

I heard Christmas music in a shop yesterday and I think that's when it dawned on me Christmas is upon us. That and the Christmas adverts starting

However it mostly goes over my head and as usual I shall be writing cards and decorating the tree Christmas Eve as usual as I will have left everything to the last minute.

In my defence , December is our busiest month in work and 7 days weeks are the norm

Making the mincemeat for the mince pies, I will be starting this weekend by washing the dried fruit and soaking it in rum.

Restaurants taking bookings for Christmas meals in October - then the tins of Quality Street that appear in Tesco.....

When you go into a Supermarket and you can't buy normal Chicken joints as its all Christmas food or in the Card Shops, you want to buy a Birthday card but all you get is Xmas Cards.
