My mum still lives in Marston-the places I knew are now are now a Nature ParkRe: 2012 - End of days ?
I must take a pic of our Union canal, there's a massive aqueduct where the canal crosses the river Avon near Linlithgow, . . the canal was restored when they built the Falkirk wheel, it goes right into the heart of Edinburgh city.Re: 2012 - End of days ?
Watched a program last night about mega volcanoes . . . . if the one in Yellowstone blows it'll wipe the USA off the map . . . . . they'll have to redraw European maps too . . . . the dust from it could cover the whole of the UK to a depth of 12 feet . . . . . mega volcanoes seldom erupt but when they do it's catastrophic . . . the bed of the lake adjacent to the one in Yellowstone has risen 3 foot recently at the west end . . . . they know this because trees at the east end are now partially underwater . . . . the underground volcano covers a vast area known as a caldera . . . .Re: 2012 - End of days ?
There's been a lot of Programmes on about this over the past few months, I've watched some of them. I found them intersting but I'm not sure I fully believe it. The Mayans certainly knew what they were about but as you said.....they veiwed Life in Cycles and 2012 is just another one. I doubt everything will end but I do think there will be some sort of disaster around this time. Maybe another tsunami, the biggest yet, or a massive quake. But the Earth will go on, it always does as some always survive to rebuild and go forward.....Must admit though as the 21st of December grows nearer I think I'll probably start to feel more than a wee bit nervous.
