Re: Over 50s Club Manchester/Cheshire

Oh Jazzi - I know what I'd be doing if I found myself in Manchester on the evening of September 19th - I'd be off to the Palace Theatre to see The Jersey Boys. I love that show - I did see it in London but would love to see it again...

Re: Over 50s Club Manchester/Cheshire

Sorry Carol, I didn't see your earlier question of what I was doing on the Thursday evening. I haven't thought that far...

Usually, after a long day of travelling I am happy to just stay in my room, unpacking and settling down to the telly. According to how I feel, I will need to go out to get some supper so I might just wander around getting my bearings.

I can't see me going to the Jersey Boys, as it's not really my cup of tea. I'll Google Manchester night life/restaurants and see what there is for me.

I will get to the Travelodge around 4ish, hopefully.

I know you said Manchester isn't much, but hey, it's an unusual way of spending a few days away from home and I plan on making it a happy time.

Good morning all. I'm going to be picking endless hedge cuttings up today and bagging them up... Such excitement!
Jazzi - Manchester has more than one theatre - there might be something to suit you.

It was Myrtle who said that Jazzi... I've never been to Manchester before so I'm looking forward to it.

Re: Over 50s Club Manchester/Cheshire

Sorry Sabrena ... I think of Manchester as home too ... I was born in Salford

I will admit we have some good museums and nice buildings but it is very built up compared with Liverpool and doesn't have a wow factor for me.

I'm not interested in the retail therapy either ... although I will pop in to Primark when I'm there

Each to his own ... I prefer more open spaces ... I just don't like it when it's too busy and as I don't drink I'm not interested in the bars, etc

Looking forward to meeting everyone though ...

Sorry, I'm getting confused as to who suggested what. I don't drink either, so that kind of night life doesn't appeal either.

I keep forgetting I'll be in Manchester on the 10th so will get my bearings then, and may look a what's on offer.

What's the plan now that the wheel is not available?

I was wondering that too Jazzi.

A walk round Gay Village has been suggested somewhere. I'd quite like that - even if we didn't go in the bars.
