Another wintry day , I've got my fire on because the mist makes everything feel damp.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

I took car in after Linden Tree and the man had left his computer with garage . Robert did it in about 20 mins but told me the part required is about £900 . He was loth to order it because the car is safe to drive so he just adjusted something and said that may work? The light came on when I was driving home but no juddering noise so we will see.
Another dismal day and I've just had Tesco to deliver and I had ordered 2 chops but 8 were delivered . My finger must have been impatient . TG for freezers lol

Glorious day here and they have turned the hay in the field behind the house, the smell is heavenly. Water butts are looking low again, but I don't think they are going to be filled up any time soon. We have a funeral tomorrow afternoon. A man of 60, friend of my boys growing up, - only ill a month. Great shock for the whole community, it's going to be a difficult day.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

We have lost a lot of village folk this year , sad to think we are the oldies now !
Went to a friends b/day in her garden and managed to fall up a step so I've got a few more bruises . I'd only had a small glass of wine .
Summer is here at last so I'm going to watch the tide come in and out with a good book. Have a good one

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

The Church service yesterday was very emotional. I was lucky to have a seat in the Church, sat down, looked up and there were John's drums on the chancel steps, the snare drum with drumsticks the heads of which were made from red roses. Needless to say I nearly lost it. The Church looked amazing, never seen so many flowers and his family were wonderful. Tea afterwards at the Golf Club which was a wonderful community occasion. Such a shame that it takes a sad occasion to get us all together.

Lovely day here .
I've had new bedroom windows fitted . One of my neighbours had ordered them but when they came they weren't the ones he wanted so he asked me if I wanted them for a bargain so I said yes and they are in situ and look lovely.xx

Phew it's hot (I'm not grumbling!) Having to water with the hose now the water butts are empty. Keeping Rob cool is quite an art, but we have a great fan and that is going to be on all night I think.

Wonderful hay being made and this morning I saw a kite grabbing his breakfast behind the tractor mowing the meadow.
