During a time when we needed strong people like Winston Churchill, we were saddled with weaklings like Neville Chamberlain. The same is true today. Yes exactly the same mate and the worst thing is, there is nothing you can do about it. You can't even vote the b*ggers out because they are everywhere and living in a house near you.

Indeed. I'll be the Mexicans don't drive vehicles into crowds of people and plant bombs.

Their other advantage over us is that they have a much stronger leader who has the good of their country at heart.

Re: Two new U.S. States

Hang on, isn't this about the proposal to divide California into three states?

Immigration is such a big yawn, very commonplace worldwide and covered ad nauseum in this forum however breaking a state in a commonwealth into parts is far more interesting.

Do you think it will pass? If it does what will then happen?

As an aside there has occasionally been a push to divide Queensland into two states the northern part feeling they are dominated by the more populous SE corner. The other states don't care, it is purely a Queensland issue. Is this the case with California? and is it driven for similar reasons?

Dividing California into 3 separate states goes hand-in hand with immigration. Too complicated to explain here but it's all about political power. Hispanics vote heavily Democrat. The more Hispanics (legal or illegal) the greater the power of the leftist wackos.

I'm sure bakerman knows what he is talking about considering he actually lives there.

Does this suggest that the proposed South California has a larger proportion of Mexicans than the Central and North Californian states?

I can see some sense in that.

Both the proposed "California" and "Southern California" are overwhelmingly Hispanic. Where I live, store clerks often do not speak any English.

The vast majority of them do not have the slightest allegiance to America. The Mexican flag is the flag of choice.

A Mexican/American guy I knew, dead now, said. "What right does America have to keep people from crossing the border at will. There should be no borders anywhere in the world".

He was brought to America by his parents as a child. All he was required to do was to 'report in' once every 10 years. But, he said, "**** America. **** their rules/laws". He refused to report in, and was eventually, at age 56, stopped for a traffic violation. The cops computer showed a Federal arrest warrant. He was deported simply because he was too stubborn to abide by the rules..
