Petrol Prices

I know we've said about this before, but some of these garages really get on my wick with what they charge.

About 3 miles away from here, a garage is selling petrol at £1.11 per ltr.
3 miles in the opposite direction, petrol is £1.21 per ltr.

How on earth can they justify that much difference?

What are the prices round your neck of the woods?

Re: Petrol Prices

I usually fill up at Midland shires farmers, it is the nearest for me but expensive. Still I don't drive far these days so a tank full lasts me weeks.

Re: Petrol Prices

Tbh I have absolutely no idea.
filling the vans with diesel wasnt a worry....business expense....price per litre was irrelevant.

with my car doing only 16-25mpg I don't want to know.....I really dont.

Yes you're right Tess, it is an Asda garage that is the £1.11 here.

Hi

If we had any buses, that would be a help.

Re: Petrol Prices

They've been cutting lots of First Bus services here. A few small firms have taken on some routes but no one knows when they run!
What with that and train fares etc it doesn't exactly encourage folk to travel on public transport does it?

Re: Petrol Prices

I had to use the bus yesterday...... £4 for a dayrider ticket (Stagecoach)
Valid for 24hrs you can travel anywhere within Greater Manchester as mqny bus rides as you want.

I was quite surprised at the excellent value.....I know this isn't available everywhere and have no idea of those prices.
