Well the thread closed in July 2014 and I think there were only about 35 people who posted on it, two of whom were our mods.
I wasn't a member then but I know a lot more joined soon after I did. Circumstances change for some people, which means they no longer post, but those who enjoy being here don't mind becoming lifers. In fact I think some of us already are
Cant see this place going downhill, as many others have.

There are so many good things to say about this Site,and lots of Members have said them...but now I'm going to have a moan about the many new Members I and others have welcomed who never come back after making a couple of posts,or indeed,never ever make one post at all...I don't think I'm going to bother in the future...so there

I know what you mean but it's catch 22 really, if we don't welcome them they will probably feel snubbed and not bother returning anyway, and remember we were all newbies once and the welcome when I joined made me want to come back. ...
