Well, I doubt she smoked when she was a little kid. Most kids, like me, start smoking in their teens. So she smoked for at
least 60 years, give or take a few, depending on when she started.
Of course, though, since she was a chain-smoker, it probably equaled 80 years because she smoked twice as much as most people I know. She probably went through 3 packs a day, if not more. That's just crazy. I don't even smoke a whole pack.
Some people just get away with it. Not everyone who smokes will get cancer.
