Re: One for the ladies

Years and years and years ago I would pass the butchers while pushing the pram and would get whistled at often . I thought I'd go in and see who the bloke was who fancied me , smiling as I walked in I got a whistle ............it was a parrot

Re: One for the ladies

Not for a while now. When I was young and got whistled at I used to blush like mad. But then I realised that is what they were trying to do. I used to walk past the same place each day didn't have an option it was the only way of getting to where I needed to be.

Re: One for the ladies

Now this might seem really, really strange - and out of character - coming from me
but
I think "wolf-whistling", with or without the lewd comments,
is crass, rude, demeaning, sexist and probably often embarrassing.

I have never done it - even in my youth - and would have no qualms about admonishing anyone I was with who did so.

The last time I was whistled at I must have been in my 30's.

Here's one for the men - when did you last wolf whistle at a woman?

Re: One for the ladies

Some geneticists claim 25% or so of people cannot whistle and some claim only 25% can. At any rate I am in the non whistler category, however, I can stare and breath heavily. Does that count?
