Hi

Not to do so would be suicidal, no Country can afford to lose 40% of it's exports at a stroke.

Not if we can obtain export deals with the rest of the world. We should do that now, not when the EU allow us to.

I agree with out about trade deals but it would be daft not to deal with Europe right on our door step.

Hi

We do not have the staff for a start and these deals take years.

However much we would wish for it to be different, that is the reality.

When we leave the EU Single Market, we also leave the 80 or so EU Trade Deals we are currently part of.

We have to renegotiate them first, before we set off on others.

If we do not, it is WTO Rules, which is the worst possible scenario for the UK.

The UK Government is now facing the reality.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-39498647

The Government are going all out to get the systems in place for WTO Rules in case no deal is done and there is no Transition period, but are being told by both Industry and it's own Consultants that there is just not enough time to do it.

Once again we have been let down by our own Politicians.

Cameron and Osborne should have spent the year leading up to the Referendum getting things in place ready for a leave vote.

Instead they wasted the time dreaming up Project Fear.

It doesn't work that way. There are all sorts of barriers to entry to new markets, not least political. For example India said ok as long as we grant visa free travel to 1.3bln citizens. Is that something you'd agree to? If not you can cross that market off the list.

What you propose with no access will put thousands of companies out of business overnight, plus you then have to add up the knock on effect of losing their consumer power in the uk and all the money multiplier effect in reverse of a massive contraction of the economy. How are we even going to get gas and electricity?

Yes, JBR, it sounds like Remainer Backlash & Project Fear back on the table.
